Bishop William Morgan - A Welsh Bible for Everyone by Danny Grehan

Llion Williams Actor - Llion Williams

Bishop William Morgan, when he died in 1604, was a poor man. Yet, during his lifetime he produced a priceless treasure - a Welsh translation of the Bible.

Meet Bishop William Morgan in an interactive performance for children aged 6 - 11. During this entertaining hour, the children will be presented with the remarkable story of William Morgan, from his upbringing at Wybrnant to his promotion to Bishop at St Asaph Cathedral. Why was the Bible translated? How was it done? What effect did the work have on ordinary Welsh people, and would we be speaking Welsh today had the bible not been translated to Welsh?
